Apostle J.F.K. Mensah, an ordained pastor, head of church, missionary, author, Bible teacher and international conference speaker, has served both in Ghana and outside it.

He is the founder of Christlike Disciplemakers Movement, an interdenominational equipping ministry dedicated to Christlikeness, disciplemaking and raising the 5-fold ministries in the church to help complete the task of World Evangelism.



Joseph Felix Kwesi Mensah, affectionately called JFK, was born on 19th Sept. 1954. He attended Bishop Herman Secondary School and later, Mfantsipim School. He then pursued a course in Mathematics and Statistics in the University of Ghana, Legon and started pastoral oversight in many towns in the Volta Region and Greater Accra Region. His passion for the youth led to a particularly involved ministry on Legon campus and in second-cycle institutions. He later on furthered his studies with an MA in Missiology from the West African School of Theology, Lome.

He is married to Mrs. Georgina Mensah, an educationist who has worked with the GES Council, a Bible teacher, international conference speaker and co-author. Rev. Mensah and Georgina have been involved with a vibrant joint-ministry for over thirty-five years of married life. They have together authored about thirty books on various subjects pertaining to Christian life. They are blessed with five children, two sons-in-law and three grandchildren.

When the current Great Commission Church International was born in April 1991, JFK was chosen as chairman of the Ghana Executive Council for twelve consecutive years while also doubling as the Apostolic Council chairman. He presently serves as General Overseer for the Church worldwide.

Together with his family, he responded to God's call to serve in Mauritania as a missionary for four years, where disciples are still carrying on the work today to God's glory.



Within Ghana, he ministers in several churches, fellowships, and educational institutions. Over the years, he has established a trademark for holiness, righteousness, Christlikeness and discipleship. He has a busy itinerary speaking on interdenominational and parachurch platforms, as well as within denominational circles. He is no stranger to fellowships like Ghana Fellowship of Evangelical Students (GHAFES), Scripture Union, Navigators, Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International (FGBMFI), and Excellent Youth Outreach (EYO) just to mention a few.

His ministry is marked with a distinct grace for reaching the youth and helping them to overcome challenges that are common to people of their age, and he has ministered at several universities adn tertiary institutions across the country, including the University of Ghana, University of Cape Coast, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Methodist University, and University of Development Studies, among others. With over thirty-eight years of experience in speaking to the youth, JFK is well-versed in bringing the word of God to life for the younger generation.

Their international ministry provides several platforms and opportunities to teach, counsel and train Christians in several countries across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. 

He is involved in international missions, serving as an advisor and mentor for missionaries working with Pioneers International, Sudan Interior Missions (SIM), OneWay Africa, and Pleroma Missions, amongst others. His experience as an Area Leader with Pioneers Africa has given him unique insights into the Unfinished Task in especially North Africa. He closely supervised missionaries labouring in the Gambia, Senegal, Mauritania, Guinea Conakry, Nigeria, Niger and Cameroon. He currently continues to speak at international missionary workshops and training seminars on spiritual warfare and discipleship.

JFK is also the President of the Christlike Disciplemakers Movement, an interdenominational initiative for making Christlike disciples worldwide. The disciples he is raising use their calling and gifting for finishing the task of the Great Commission and preparing the body of Christ for His Second Coming. He is also the Rector of the Movement’s accredited Bible School, which offers Certificate and Diploma courses in Missions and Discipleship.
